About the Author

A native of Oregon's Willamette Valley, Chris Kaltwasser has lived in Eugene since 1999. He reads and writes about subjects that interest him, like philosophy and psychology, and his other interests include music, poetry, literature, science, nature photography, snowboarding, and flower gardening. He is the proud new uncle of a baby girl, Allison. Chris loves music, and has played violin since age 10 through high school, and has recently taken it back up. He hopes to study more music and learn to play piano and maybe guitar. He recently completed his Bachelors in philosophy at the University of Oregon, and holds previous degrees from Oregon State University in math and computer science. His career goal is to work more with music, ideally composing and performing, and possibly also teaching. |

Chris has extensive professional experience working with Internet technology to help non-profits and educational organizations achieve their service, member outreach, and advocacy goals.
Most recently he worked with the Financial Aid and Scholarships office at the University of oregon, helping on research to promote better funding and new scholarship opportunities for Oregon students there.
Since last summer he has been working with a local arts center to help promote their new children's art classes in local publications. Chris is seeking full-time work opportunities in Eugene/Springfield and hopes to employ his talents for the benefit of a local music or arts organization.
